Job summary

Y&L Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced iSeries RPG/RPGLE Developer to support pharmacy claims processing systems in the LTC400 billing and census team. This role analyzes existing applications, develops enhancements, tests, and ensures IBM i (AS/400) compliance.

You will design and implement changes with RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2; update database structures and interfaces; develop inbound/outbound EDI processing; and participate in code reviews to maintain development standards.

Qualifications

Experience with IBM i AS/400 development environments.
Proficiency in RPG/RPGLE and related IBM i tooling.
Experience with DB2 databases and EDI processing.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements to IBM i (AS/400) applications using RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2.
Update database structures, file specifications, and interfaces supporting pharmacy claims.
Develop and maintain inbound and outbound EDI transaction processing.
Perform impact analysis across applications, files, reports, interfaces, and downstream systems.
Create technical design documentation, programming specifications, and implementation plans.
Support system integration testing, troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and data anomalies.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
