Job summary
MEDHOST, a healthcare IT leader, is seeking a remote Senior Software Engineer (Biotech) to design, build, test, and debug IBM i/RPG solutions. You will mentor junior staff, drive architecture discussions, and ensure secure, maintainable code in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires 7+ years in product development and expertise in RPGLE/RPG IV, CL, Db2 for i, SQL, JSON, REST and agile delivery. Remote work across the US is supported, with a salary range of 110K–135K and comprehensive
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial product development experience.
- Proficiency in RPGLE/RPG IV, CL, Db2 for i, SQL, JSON and REST integrations.
- Secure development and Agile delivery in distributed environments.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
- Strong mentoring and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, test, and debug solutions per MEDHOST standards.
- Provide accurate effort estimates and meet defined schedules.
- Identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Take ownership of project parts and guide junior staff.
- Support architecture discussions and ensure maintainability and security.
