Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Lead Engineer - Identity & Access Management (IAM) to architect and modernize enterprise identity solutions across Okta, Entra ID, and other platforms. You will design secure authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, and governance while driving automation and platform modernization.

You will mentor engineers, lead IAM projects, collaborate with security and cloud teams, and ensure auditing and risk management align with best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IAM experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with SSO libraries and secure integrations (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM).
• Experience with MFA, RBAC, PIM and least-privilege access controls.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and support of IAM solutions across Okta, Entra ID, and other platforms.
• Design and implement SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and authentication policies.
• Architect integrations using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, and REST APIs.
• Manage lifecycle processes, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access governance.
• Develop IAM automation using Python, PowerShell, and cloud-native tools.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
