Job summary

LyondellBasell invites experienced Instrument/Electrical Planner to join our Channelview site. You will plan electrical and instrumentation work, develop detailed job packages, and ensure readiness of materials and services for maintenance projects.

You will collaborate with the PMC and other teams to prioritize work, adhere to safety standards, and drive reliability improvements at the Channelview facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an instrument/electrical/analyzer maintenance technician in a petrochemical or refining environment.
• Attentive listening, good communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), organization skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to quality and safety.
• Must be self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Strong computer skills in SAP, Windows applications, and E-mail.
• Demonstratedproficiencyin SAP PM, including work order planning, task list development, BOM maintenance, and labor estimating.
• Demonstrated ability to develop detailed maintenance work packages from field scope through execution.
• Working knowledge of maintenance planning best practices, backlog management, and work management processes in a petrochemical or refining environment.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
• Plan daily work and create equipment task lists.
• Ensure adherence to the Maintenance and Operations Workflow Process (MOWP).
• Work with Purchasing to procure materials and services.
• Participate in planning and scheduling meetings.
• Communicate with supervisors, scheduler, and specialists to refine jobs.
• Create and modify equipment BOMs.
• Assemble job plans with instructions, required tools, and durations.
• Prepare job packages for execution.
• Ensure material and third‑party service readiness before scheduling.
