Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Hyperion Infrastructure Support Engineer (On-Prem) to support Oracle Hyperion/EPM environments in a remote USA role. The engineer will manage WebLogic Server, Linux/Windows servers, perform patches, backups, DR, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrades.

A strong candidate will have 4–8 years of on-prem Hyperion experience, scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl), and solid production support.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of Oracle Hyperion/EPM infrastructure experience on‑prem.
• Strong Oracle WebLogic Server Administration experience.
• Hands-on Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with enterprise backups and disaster recovery strategies.
• Basic Oracle Database administration knowledge (schemas, tablespaces, backups).
• Scripting in Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Proven production support and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Oracle Hyperion/EPM environments (Planning, Essbase, HFM, FDMEE).
• Manage Oracle WebLogic Server, application servers, and Linux/Windows infrastructure.
• Perform patching, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and production issues across development, QA, and production environments.
• Support environment refreshes, migrations, and deployment activities.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and availability while ensuring SLA compliance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and implement infrastructure improvements.
