Job summary

A state environmental agency is looking for an Environmental Hydrogeologist 2/3 to support groundwater quality and permit issuance while fostering environmental protection. Candidates should have relevant degrees and experience, with opportunities for remote work within Arizona. The prospective employee will engage in various hydrologic tasks and collaborate across departments to drive impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience for Hydrogeologist 2 or 5 years for Hydrogeologist 3.
• Certification as 'Geologist in-training' through Arizona Board of Technical Registration preferred.
• Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review environmental technical program documents and applications.
• Issue Aquifer Protection Program permits within required time frames.
• Interpret trends in hydrologic and environmental data.
