Job summary

Forsgren Associates, Inc. seeks a Hydraulics Manager to lead and grow its hydraulics practice. Sit remotely in the intermountain west and provide technical leadership on 1D/2D hydraulic and surface water modeling for bridges, culverts, and floodplains.

You will mentor staff, manage project delivery, and work with clients and regulators. Required: B.S. in Civil Engineering and PE in Idaho (or within 6 months), 10+ years in hydraulic modeling and design, experience with HEC-RAS, SMS SRH-2D, HY-8,

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related field and PE registration in Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months.
10+ years Civil Engineering experience with hydraulic modeling and design.
Strong fundamentals in hydraulics and hydrology for bridge, floodplain, and detention design.

Responsibilities

Lead the Hydraulics Engineering Manager role and discipline lead for the Hydraulics Practice.
Mentor staff, set goals, provide performance feedback, and support development.
Manage workload, budgets, schedules, and priorities across multiple projects.
Grow the hydraulics practice with proposals, client relations, and delivery oversight.
Provide technical leadership on 1D/2D hydraulic modeling and related analyses.
Coordinate with design teams, environmental staff, clients, and regulators.
