Job summary

Forsgren Associates, a newly acquired Apex Company, is seeking a Sr Hydraulic Engineer to lead Forsgren’s Hydraulics Practice and oversee complex hydraulic projects. You will mentor staff, manage workloads, collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies, and drive technical quality from 1D/2D hydrologic modeling to floodplain design.

The ideal candidate has a PE in Idaho, 10+ years in civil engineering with hydraulics focus, strong open-channel hydraulics expertise, and experience with

Qualifications

PE in Idaho preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
10+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a focus in hydraulic modeling and design.
Strong understanding of hydraulics and hydrology in engineering design, including runoff and bridge hydraulics.

Responsibilities

Lead as Hydraulics Engineering Manager and discipline lead for Forsgren’s Hydraulics Practice.
Mentor and develop hydraulic engineering staff; set goals and provide performance feedback.
Manage team workload, resources, schedules and priorities across multiple projects.
