Job summary

Prevail Recruiting seeks a partner-level attorney to join its Texas practice. The role offers flexible work options: fully remote or hybrid from the Houston office, with a starting base of $200,000 and no book of business required.

The attorney will independently manage an active docket, draft and argue motions, take depositions, attend hearings, and coordinate with clients and carriers, while delivering professional, strategic advocacy.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar license in good standing.
• Strong command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to run a docket with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication with clients, adjusters and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active litigation docket
• Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses and experts
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials
• Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses and experts for testimony
• Evaluate claims, assess exposure and communicate strategy to carriers and clients
