Job summary

College of DuPage seeks an Adjunct Faculty member in Interior Design to inspire and mentor students in classroom, lab, or online settings.

The role may cover CAD I/II, Virtual Reality for Interior Design, and studio courses across Residential, Retail/Restaurant, Healthcare, Workplace, and Lighting, in face-to-face, online, hybrid formats. Candidates should be able to teach remotely when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong CAD software skills and core interior design competencies.
• Expertise in standard architectural drawing conventions.
• Knowledge of codes in the built environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting complex material.
• Experience with Revit, SketchUp and AutoCAD; willingness to stay current with industry trends.
• Demonstrated success with remote, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in classroom, lab, or online settings.
• Evaluate student work and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Teach in multiple delivery modes (face-to-face, online, hybrid) and adapt as needed.
