Job summary
MEPPI seeks a Senior System Design Engineer - FACTS & HVDC to drive advanced system design, equipment development, and commissioning for high-performance power electronics solutions. This remote US role requires <50% travel.
Lead studies, design, testing, and collaboration across sales, engineering, and project teams to advance energy infrastructure.
You bring 7+ years in FACTS/HVDC, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, MATLAB/Simulink proficiency, and strong leadership to mentor teams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of FACTS or HVDC system engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering
- Strong knowledge of harmonic filtering, protection and control
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of FACTS and HVDC systems
- Conduct and oversee power system studies, protection and control design
- Plan and execute factory and site commissioning tests
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to drive technical excellence
- Support new product development and cost-reduction initiatives
