Job summary

Springtide Project Services, a division of IPS, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team in Albany, New York, with the option for full-time remote work. You will design mechanical (HVAC) systems for semiconductor facilities, covering air distribution, water systems, central plants, and control systems.

You will perform energy calculations, develop equipment schedules, lead small projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure drawings meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of Engineering/design experience in the building design industry (HVAC systems and utility generation).
• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Expertise in CAD drafting (AutoCAD/Revit) and engineering design software.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC system design and applicable codes.
• Experience with load calculations and energy analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical (HVAC) systems for semiconductor facilities and related piping and controls.
• Perform energy savings calculations and develop equipment schedules.
• Assist in studies, schematic design, and project budgeting estimates.
• Lead less complex projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure drawings meet quality standards and communicate with code officials.
