Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a HVAC Controls Systems Data Center Team Lead to remotely manage building automation projects with 20% travel. You will lead on-site efforts from planning to closeout, coordinate hardware design, programming, and commissioning, and manage project budgets while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The role requires a technical associate’s degree and 1–3 years in HVAC/Controls, strong communication, and independence, with a focus on safety and profitability.

Qualifications

• Required Technical associate’s degree
• 1 - 3 years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls or Building Automation Systems
• Ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audience
• Ability to work independently
• Strong PC skills
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete control systems projects as on-site project lead
• Handle hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning and project closeout
• Manage project financials including costs, billings, and collections
• Balance customer satisfaction with project profitability and pursue change orders
• Coordinate with customers during all project phases and ensure safety standards are met
• Provide direction to subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and admin staff
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and Johnson Controls safety policies
