Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Human Centered Design & UX Analyst to support HCD and HFE across VA’s connected health portfolio. Remote work across the United States; you will join a cross-functional sprint team and help elicit requirements, create workflows, and evaluate usability in prototypes and pilots.

The role focuses on designing usable health IT, developing artifacts, and contributing to accessibility conformance while collaborating with VA leads and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in HCD/HFE related fields.
• 8+ years of work experience in human-centered design, UX research, or health IT context.
• Experience with qualitative research methods and design artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Supports HCD and HFE studies using interviews, focus groups, observation, and usability testing.
• Develops validated workflows, personas, journey maps, and wireframes for development teams.
• Maintains HCD artifacts like affinity maps, user flows, and low-fidelity prototypes.
• Collaborates with product owners, designers, developers, and VA leads on design strategies.
