Varsity Tutors is seeking online High School Writing tutors to join our Live Learning Platform. You’ll set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and help students improve argumentative and analytical writing from home.

We offer up to $40/hour, twice-weekly payments, flexible hours, remote tutoring, and AI-assisted teaching tools to save prep time. Ideal candidates combine deep writing knowledge with adaptive teaching and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of argumentative, analytical, and narrative writing, plus SAT/ACT essay prep.
• Ability to explain thesis-driven structure, evidence integration, and source citation.
• Experience preparing students for AP courses and college writing readiness.
• Familiar with high school writing standards and rubric-aligned feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions with focus on writing skills.
