Job summary

Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command seeks a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT) to perform HRM duties at the GS-0201-11 level in the Department of the Air Force.

Responsibilities include reviewing personnel actions, advising on merit promotion, recruitment, placement, and managing the DPMAP program while ensuring compliance with laws and policies. Telework eligible; Secret clearance required; closing date 2026-10-23.

Qualifications

• Documentation of education transcripts required.
• Graduate education equivalency rules may apply if provided.
• Official transcripts required before a firm offer.
• Foreign education evaluations may be required and must be in English.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit requests for personnel actions to fill such positions and/or to career promote, reassign, or place employees.
• Provide staff level HRM advice in areas such as merit promotion, recruitment and placement, affirmative employment, and resource management.
• Manage the Performance Management program and serve as DPMAP super-user and trainer; oversee annual civilian performance appraisals.
• Monitor employment levels to ensure USTRANSCOM attracts and retains qualified employees with right skills.
