PocketHR is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to provide remote, freelance HR guidance via the PocketHR app. The role concentrates on answering inquiries about benefits, FMLA, FLSA, EEO processes, compensation, and wage and hour issues.

The contractor owns scheduling and payment tiered by customer ratings. Ideal candidates have at least six years in HR or a law/master's degree in related fields, with strong HR generalist experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements across the federal

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of human resources experience, or a law degree or master's in HR or related field.
• Experience as an HR generalist with broad knowledge across benefit and compliance areas.
• Ability to interpret and apply FMLA and FLSA requirements and advise users.

Responsibilities

• Respond to HR inquiries submitted by app users in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide accurate guidance on employee benefits, FMLA, FLSA, EEO processes, compensation, and wage Hour rules.
• Draw on federal and private sector HR practices to address a wide range of inquiries.
• Communicate clearly to users with varying HR knowledge levels.
• Stay current on employment law and regulatory changes to keep guidance accurate.
• Flag inquiries that require legal advice and redirect appropriately.
