Job summary

Engage Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented hotel accounting professional for a remote role in the United States. You will handle daily cash reconciliation, accounts payable, vendor payments, and month-end closings, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hotel accounting, a BA/AS in accounting or business, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and hotel accounting software.

Qualifications

• BA or AS in accounting or business administration.
• Must have hotel accounting experience.
• 2–3 years of hotel accounting experience desired.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and hotel accounting software; DOCYT a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily cash reconciliation for hotels.
• Processing of vendor invoices and payments.
• Booking sales records and monitoring accounts receivable.
• Ensure hotel level book keepers are properly reconciling ledgers.
• Must have hands-on experience in payroll, billing, and accounts payable and incurred cost proposal preparation.
• Managing the receivables process including incoming payments by preparing bank deposits, maintaining, balancing financial information, verifying invoices, and updating the general ledger.
• Participate in Annual budget process of hotels.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and certain P&L accounts.
• Must work efficiently and independently while paying close attention to details.
• Other duties includes special projects assigned by CEO.
