Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and accurate typing skills are essential.
• Familiarity with calculator/ten-key adding machine.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred, especially in acute care settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient flow and provider inpatient assignments.
• Monitor and support coding and billing processes for the hospitalist.
• Support compliance and timely completion of tasks by the hospitalist team.
• Assist in shift transitions and serve as a hub for hospitalist communication.
