Job summary

The Southeast Massachusetts Council on Advocacy (SEMCOA) Healthy Families program in Brockton, MA seeks a full-time Home Visitor to support first-time young parents through home-based coaching, infant development guidance, and parenting education. Responsibilities include conducting strength-based home visits, assessments, and coordinating with community resources.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working with or providing services to children and families/participants
• Experience with culturally diverse populations among program’s target population
• Experience in home visiting, curriculum planning and/or group facilitation

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, strength-based home visits based on participant needs and service level match
• Complete required assessments to ensure appropriate service delivery
• Assist in development of Family Service Plan and monitor progress toward goals
• Plan curriculum according to participant needs and interests
• Make community referrals and maintain follow-up
• Maintain records according to program policies
• Participate in supervision and staff meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
