Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Software Developer III to support a federal IHS contract. The role develops clinical solutions using MUMPS/FileMan within RPMS and requires HIT expertise with distributed-team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare IT experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a track record in design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software under IHS standards, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years’ experience, of which at least six years must be specialized experience including the design and development of HIT systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops and recommends technical solutions to support client’s requirements in solving moderately complex software problems.
• Focus areas include analytical and engineering-based problem solving and solutions based on IHS standards and conventions (SAC).
• Responsibilities include secure system engineering and development, utilizing technical and analytical skills.
• Designs test scenarios for the functional and regression testing of complex software solutions.
• Investigates and resolves software support tickets submitted by end users.
