ICL Academy seeks a highly motivated Curriculum Subject-Matter Expert (SME) to enhance asynchronous History/Social Studies courses across U.S. History, World History, Government, Economics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Microeconomics.

Assignment updates, standards alignment, and engaging assessments are central to this role. The SME works remotely, updates courses based on audits from the Academic Department Chair, and collaborates asynchronously to improve student engagement and learning outcomes

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Economics, Social Studies Education, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred, especially for AP-level courses.
• Experience teaching or curriculum development for grades 5-12.
• Experience designing standards-aligned assignments and assessments.
• Experience building assignments and assessments in Amplify.
• Strong written communication for asynchronous instruction.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Canvas or similar.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Assignment Enhancements: revise assignments to align with objectives and standards; add varied formats and multimedia elements.
• Assessment Overhaul: redesign formative/summative assessments for rigor and alignment; improve feedback.
• Project Execution & Collaboration: onboarding, regular check-ins, and meeting deadlines across a multi-month project; work in Google Drive and Amplify.
