Qualifications include inpatient coding experience and proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4, and an EHR system. A High School Diploma is required, with AHIMA CCS preferred or required for certain hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years inpatient records coding experience.
• Ability to operate in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient, observation, and ED records using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4 and UHDDS guidelines.
• Verify and abstract data accurately into the hospital information system.
• Collaborate with CDI staff to clarify documentation and support DRG assignments.
