Job summary

The Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI) seeks a versatile Communications & Content Manager to drive high‑quality, on‑message content. You will write and produce our higher education newsletter, blog, and social content, turning CDI research into a family of content while supporting Partnerships to win new opportunities.

You’ll coordinate with subject-matter experts and Partnerships, manage timelines, and help grow CDI’s audience and reputation as a leading national voice on constructive

Qualifications

• 5+ years in communications, content marketing, editorial, or journalism with published work across formats.
• Strong editorial operator with calendars, cadences, and systems, capable of scaling in a startup environment.
• Exceptional writing and editing across formats, fast and accurate.
• Sharp cross-functional collaboration across SMEs, marketing, and partnerships.
• Media-aware with ability to draft pitches and build press relationships.
• Brand- and design-minded, able to direct external designers and maintain templates.
• Familiarity with AI tools for drafting while preserving human judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage editorial calendar and owned content; write and send the newsletter, blog, and social content.
• Run a unified organic social calendar across brand and thought-leadership content.
• Collaborate with Partnerships and Marketing to align initiatives with webinars and conferences.
• Turn CDI's research into blog posts, op-eds, social posts, and newsletters.
• Coordinate production timelines with experts so content ships on time.
• Help build and maintain press lists, draft pitches, and support media coverage.
• Track CDI's media coverage and mentions, contributing to earned-media goals.
• Produce marketing collateral; direct designers to high standards; create case studies and testimonials.
