Job summary

Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan seeks a full-time Teacher to deliver and monitor high-quality virtual education across the state. You will engage students remotely while maintaining a presence at the designated instructional center and align decisions with the district vision.

The role requires Michigan teaching certification, strong English/grammar skills, and the ability to use technology effectively. Some weekend and summer sessions may be available.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Secondary Education Teacher certification.
• Ability to motivate all students to be successful in their coursework.
• Ability to develop meaningful relationships with students to foster success.
• Strong customer service leadership for students, families, and community.
• Proficient with technology for instruction and operations.
• Self-directed with timely task completion.
• Excellent English grammar and communication skills.
• Online teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor high-quality virtual instruction statewide.
• Engage students remotely while maintaining a presence at the instructional center.
• Collaborate with centers statewide through PLCs to improve student experience.
• Monitor data to meet district goals and standards per the school improvement plan.
• Grade assignments and assessments per policy; may extend beyond 8–3:30 as needed.
• Mentor students through LMS and various communication channels.
• Document weekly student communications and performance.
• Participate in professional development and optional weekend/summer hours.
