Job summary

Stride, Inc. through Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS) seeks a high school Special Education Teacher to deliver online instruction to students in Indiana.

State certification in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree are required, with reciprocity within Indiana within 60 days if licensed out-of-state. Remote position with full-time hours and potential performance bonus, serving students and families via virtual classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Active State Special Education teaching license is required.
• Six months of student teaching experience is required.
• Ability to clear required background check(s) is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure students with special needs receive appropriate therapies.
• Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports and other state-specific required special education documentation.
• Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings such as annual IEP meetings.
• Use provided resources to ensure accommodations and modifications per the IEP.
• Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP.
• Maintain inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom.
• Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
• Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Personalize learning for all students and maintain high expectations.
