Job summary

Michigan Connections Academy is seeking certified teachers to remotely manage instructional programs for K–12 students in Michigan. You will consult with learning coaches and students to ensure completion of the instructional program, using phones, the Internet and curriculum tools.

Responsibilities include grading, progress reporting, parent conferences, and developing Personal Learning Plans. Travel to events may be required; evening hours could be needed to support families.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach the appropriate subject in Michigan.
• Ability to work with families and students remotely.
• Strong communication with parents, students and staff.
• Highly organized and punctual; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional program with asynchronous and synchronous sessions.
• Grade assignments, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students and teachers to update learning plans and schedules.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and specific courses.
• Review lessons and adapt approaches to improve student understanding.
• Coordinate events and field trips as part of the curriculum.
• Maintain accurate student records and data.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure student progress and enrollment goals.
