Job summary

Personify Health, Inc. is seeking an EDI Tester to validate HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277) and troubleshoot mapping issues. You will work with trading partners, payers, and internal teams to ensure accurate eligibility, claims, and remittance data moves across systems.

The role involves leading UAT/SIT testing, building test data, and maintaining documentation while ensuring production issues are resolved quickly to keep claims paid and benefits timely.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with healthcare EDI transactions and HIPAA 4010/5010 standards
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience; Master's degree a plus
• Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting X12 transaction sets (837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277)
• Experience working with EDI trading partners, payers, or vendors on connectivity and transaction issues
• Experience writing test plans, test cases, and technical/Companion Guide documentation

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot core EDI transactions: validate HIPAA X12 837/835/834/270-271/276-277 sets
• Diagnose transaction-level errors and work with dev teams to fix mappings
• Resolve live production issues to keep data flowing without disruption
• Build and maintain test documentation and Companion Guides
• Lead UAT, SIT, and end-to-end testing for onboarding and upgrades
• Develop test data (mock 837I/837P) for realistic inputs
• Coordinate with trading partners, clients, and internal teams
• Log incidents and manage work in JIRA and Confluence
• Validate ICD-9/ICD-10 and HCPCS coding during tests
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and pipelines
