Job summary

Accanto is seeking a senior Data Architect to define and govern enterprise data architecture on a modern Azure-based platform, integrating Avatar NX, Salesforce, and financial systems. This role reverses engineers the Avatar NX data model to enable accurate integration, reporting, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data engineering.
• Experience designing data platforms in Azure (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL).
• Experience integrating EHR, CRM, and financial systems.
• Proven experience reverse engineering undocumented or poorly documented schemas.
• Strong SQL and data governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end Azure data architecture (ingestion, staging, curated, reporting layers).
• Define enterprise data domains (Clinical, RCM, CRM, Finance).
• Establish canonical data models (Patient, Encounter, Claim, Revenue).
• Reverse engineer Avatar NX data model and document tables, ERDs, and mappings.
• Define integration patterns across Avatar NX, Salesforce, and financials.
• Standardize data contracts and exchange patterns (batch, API, event-driven).
• Establish governance for data quality, naming, and lineage.
• Build data catalog, business glossary, and version-controlled artifacts.
• Ensure models, pipelines, and schemas are auditable and traceable.
