The ideal candidate will analyze complex claims, identify risk areas, and educate providers, coders, and staff on compliant coding and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coding, billing, and documentation audits to identify compliance and reimbursement risks.
• Review medical records and claims for regulatory and payer policy adherence.
• Analyze findings and recommend corrective actions to improve processes.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide education on coding, documentation, and compliance to clinicians and staff.
• Research coding questions to ensure accurate code assignment and reimbursement.
• Coordinate responses to external audits and ensure timely documentation submission.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and payer policies.
