This remote role supports patients and payers from home. The position emphasizes accurate billing, adherence to CMS and payer requirements, and strong collaboration with hospital departments to maximize cash flow and reduce days in A/R.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of AR collection experience in healthcare.
• Follow payer/government requirements as required by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Bills electronically and manually as needed, using all technology available to produce clean claims.
• Interprets claims processing reports and applies information to produce clean claims.
• Maintains current knowledge of regulatory billing requirements.
• Makes changes to demographic information as necessary to produce a clean claim.
• Meets or exceeds productivity standards in daily assignments and production.
• Analyzes coding to assure proper billing of claims.
• Participates in hospital educational programs to maintain skills and competency.
• Requests and attaches required clinical documentation per third party requirements.
• Services accounts in priority of importance, independently billing accounts with understanding of insurance and CMS regulations.
