Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is hiring a Technical Analyst to bridge business needs with technical execution across healthcare domains. You will leverage deep SQL expertise, DEDs, and knowledge of Medicaid pharmacy claims to design data models, validate logic, and support SDLC activities.

You will collaborate with BAs and Config Analysts, mentor juniors, and work in a fully remote role with opportunities for career development and educational assistance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a technical analyst, data analyst, or healthcare systems analyst role.
• Advanced SQL skills with large datasets, including pharmacy claims data.
• Strong understanding of Medicaid concepts and pharmacy claims processing.
• Familiarity with DEDs, interface specifications, and integration design (NCPDP).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in SDLC and Agile environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate detailed business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
• Support analysts with insights on data and integrations meeting operational needs.
• Validate logic and downstream impacts of technical decisions using healthcare knowledge.
• Use advanced SQL to extract and validate data for testing and QA.
• Interpret DEDs to understand data structures across modules.
• Analyze data flows and integration logic across internal and external interfaces.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate technical decisions and risks.
• Develop technical solution models aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Mentor junior analysts on data standards and SQL best practices.
• Provide analytical support during defect resolution and pre-deployment checks.
