Job summary

Dandelion Health Inc. is building a leading healthcare data platform focused on safe, de‑identified data for AI development. We seek an experienced analytics engineer to design, transform, and maintain clean analysis-ready datasets from EMRs, imaging, and related sources.

You will own data models, ensure data quality, and collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and engineers to scale our data capabilities. Remote-friendly startup environment with a strong mission to improve patient health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, CS, Biostatistics)
• 3+ years of analytics or data engineering experience with clinical/EHR data
• Strong dbt and SQL proficiency with multi-environment deployments
• 1+ years experience extracting/curating data in HIT/healthcare delivery ecosystems
• Cloud experience (Snowflake and/or AWS)
• Git and version-control proficiency
• Advocate for modular, well‑documented code and testing best practices
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast‑paced startup environment
• Excellent communication to translate customer needs into data solutions
• Passion for improving healthcare through data infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Query complex source systems (EMRs, ECG, DICOM) to map data elements for high‑quality datasets
• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt and Snowflake
• Harmonize multimodal data into a unified ontological layer for data scientists and AI developers
• Perform data extraction, manipulation, and summarization of large datasets
• Implement data quality tests, CI/CD, and version control for analytics codebases
• Support engineers in optimizing de‑identification and ETL across cloud environments
• Collaborate with NLP experts to structure clinical concepts from unstructured text
• Work with subject‑matter experts and customers to translate requirements into engineering solutions
• Dig into large, disorganized datasets to bring them under control
• Contribute to a culture of learning and growth in a small, ambitious startup
