Job summary

Koley Jessen P.C., L.L.O is seeking an experienced Health Law counsel to join the Health Law Practice Group. This 100% remote role focuses on complex regulatory and transactional matters for a broad provider base, with integrated support and development opportunities.

The candidate will advise physicians and healthcare entities on Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, and governance issues, while collaborating with a collegial team across offices and remote settings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school with strong academic record.
• Minimum of 6 years health law experience in a law firm.
• Knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and HIPAA.
• Experience advising physicians and healthcare providers on regulatory matters.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a fully remote environment and obtain Nebraska bar admission if needed.

Responsibilities

• Advise healthcare providers on regulatory compliance including Stark Law and False Claims Act.
• Draft and negotiate physician employment, professional services, and joint venture agreements.
• Counsel on Medicare reimbursement rules and payor contracting considerations.
• Advise on HIPAA compliance, privacy, and data security requirements.
• Analyze governance and organizational structure for healthcare entities.
• Represent providers in professional discipline matters before state boards.
• Conduct regulatory due diligence for healthcare transactions and partnerships.
