Job summary

UPMC Health Plan is seeking a Health Care Concierge to support members by explaining benefits, resolving issues, and guiding them through their health coverage. This is a full-time, hybrid role based around Pittsburgh, PA, with a focus on compassionate, knowledgeable member service in a fast-paced call center.

You will handle high-volume calls, emails, and chats, document interactions, and stay current on policies and system updates while delivering outstanding support to members and providers.

Qualifications

• High-volume, 100% phone-based role.
• Ability to explain insurance terms clearly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to high volumes of calls, emails, and chats from members and providers
• Help members understand benefits, claims, prior authorizations, billing, and coverage details
• Resolve issues accurately and efficiently to avoid repeat calls
• Document all interactions while listening and responding in real time
• Navigate multiple computer systems at once
• Make outbound follow-up calls when needed
• Stay informed on policies, products, and system updates
• Deliver professional, empathetic service - every call, every time
