Qualifications

• Specialized experience includes managing receipt, storage, sale, and disposal of environmentally sensitive material.
• Understanding and applying environmental program principles to guide personnel and contractors.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules governing hazardous material handling and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct compliance responsibilities for stored hazardous materials at the DLA Disposition Services site.
• Coordinate conforming storage facilities for hazardous materials regionally.
• Determine permit requirements and manage permit applications to ensure timely approvals.
• Oversee environmental disposal activities at hubs, retrogrades, or unusual waste streams.
• Ensure facilities maintain regulatory compliance and conduct pre-receipt inspections.
• Provide technical guidance to field personnel handling receiving/warehousing.
• Guide sales and reutilization personnel on RTD/sales of hazardous materials and waste.
• Implement and administer EMS for designated sites.
