Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with packing and repacking non-hazardous and hazardous materials.
• Ability to select proper containers and packing methods per regulations.
• Familiarity with shipping data, certifications and labeling requirements.
• Working with hazardous materials regulations and safety procedures.
• Competence in operating material handling equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Pack and repack materials following established procedures.
• Select containers and packing materials; apply cushioning and bracing.
• Review items to determine repacking needs and consolidate shipments.
• Follow regulations for hazardous materials shipping and data labeling.
• Operate MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Receive, store, and distribute commodities as required.
