Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Director of Business and Digital Product Development to win enterprise engagements and to shape a platform that scales freelance work across markets. You will translate client needs into concrete requirements for engineers, develop go-to-market strategies, and coach Vico Leads to deliver high-value outcomes while driving platform adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in professional services (e.g. consulting, system integration, sales of complex products) or in a product-driven start-up or scale-up.
• Proven consultative selling capacity: win complex enterprise deals by advising, not pitching.
• Solid understanding of digital products: you like working with users and engineers alike and you can define requirements that engineers can make real.
• Thorough and pragmatic: you think problems through and deliver concrete results.
• Challenger mindset: you shape how clients and the market at large think about professional services sourcing and are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders.
• AI-affinity: you actively use AI tools and understand the strategic implications of agentic AI for professional services.
• Entrepreneurial energy – you are drawn to building markets, not administering existing ones. Own entrepreneurial experience is a strong plus.
• Strong academic background, fast career progression, proven commercial impact.
• Fluent in German and English (DACH is our home market, while we expand internationally).
• Network power: you have and build valuable relationships easily.

Responsibilities

• Shape the market: Position the company with enterprise clients as the strategic alternative to traditional professional services models.
• Question established sourcing models and demonstrate why Vicos deliver better outcomes.
• Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to specific client contexts.
• Build thought leadership through events and LinkedIn presence.
• Win and grow clients: Develop and own a portfolio of enterprise clients and partners.
• Win new business together with Vico Leads, and learn from every deal what the platform must do better.
• Lead and enable Vico Leads: Be the go-to person for Vico Leads on the platform and coach them.
• Supervise and coach Vico Leads in your client group – hold them accountable for delivery quality and commercial performance.
• Activate new Vico Leads and help them grow their marketplace on the platform.
• Continuously define the platform: Translate problems into concrete requirements for our engineering team.
• Prioritize features by impact on business and shape the platform roadmap.
• Follow each feature to release, check it works for Vico Leads, and drive our NPS.
• Bring market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insight into the organization.
• Help define how we scale: processes, tools, talent, culture.
