Principal Financial Group in Detroit, MI is seeking a Client Relationship Consultant in Group Benefits. You will partner with our Sales team and top-level Broker partners to craft and execute customized strategies, delivering on quarterly and annual goals while providing expert renewal analysis and exceptional service.

You will play a key role in growing an assigned block of in-force group business. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience, and active life/health

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience (group benefits and/or account management experience preferred).
• Must be able to acquire and maintain all required state licenses within 90 days. Active life/health license preferred.
• Must have excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills, as well as analytical skills.
• Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
• Maintain accuracy while being detail oriented.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
• Travel required (approx. 25%), including overnight stays and time out in the market in face-to-face contact with customers and brokers.
