AptNexus is hiring a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst I to support a government-focused program. You will assess corrective action plans, POA&Ms, and system security plans against NIST controls, delivering clear determinations under guidance from senior analysts.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, timely reviews, and written responses to technical inquiries. Remote work from the continental US is allowed, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in cybersecurity compliance, audit, or related info security role.
• Experience identifying and applying information security requirements.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and RMF.
• Ability to read technical evidence (screenshots, logs, policy docs) and judge control satisfaction.
• Familiarity with cloud services, MFA, encryption, OS, and network devices.
• Strong technical writing; able to produce clear determinations.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel; VBA macros preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate corrective action plans and POA&M submissions; determine open/closed status.
• Recommend follow-on actions to close findings and address responses.
• Review system security plans against NIST controls and identify compliance status.
• Prepare written responses on MFA, cloud configuration, and control implementation.
• Evaluate advance notifications of changes and provide written cybersecurity guidance.
• Request clarification and track responses to closure.
• Track reviews, due dates, and turnaround to meet deadlines.
• Maintain standardized templates and Excel-based tools, including VBA macros.
• Keep complete records in the case management system.
• Comply with customer security, privacy, and records management; use Government equipment.
