Zusammenfassung

AptNexus is seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst I to support a federal cybersecurity program. You will review corrective action plans, POA&Ms, and system security plans against NIST controls, delivering clear compliance determinations under senior guidance.

The role requires 1–3 years in cybersecurity compliance and strong technical writing. Remote work from the United States is available; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, audit, assessment, or a related information security role.
• Experience applying information security requirements.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and NIST RMF.
• Ability to read technical evidence and judge control satisfaction.
• Familiarity with cloud services, MFA, encryption, OS, and network devices.
• Strong technical writing with Word/Excel.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with ownership over assignments.
• Preferred certifications listed (not required).
• Must meet federal eligibility requirements for public trust.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate corrective action plans and POA&Ms and determine open/closed status.
• Recommend follow-on actions to close findings.
• Review system security plans against NIST controls and identify compliance status.
• Prepare written responses to technical inquiries on MFA, cloud configurations, and controls.
• Evaluate advance notifications of changes and provide cybersecurity guidance.
• Request clarifications and track responses to closure.
• Track reviews, due dates and deadlines.
• Use standardized templates and Excel-based tools (including VBA macros).
• Maintain complete records in the customer case management system.
• Comply with customer security, privacy, and records requirements using Gov't equipment.
