Job summary

AptNexus is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst to support a cybersecurity compliance program for our Department of Treasury customer. You will evaluate submissions against security requirements tailored from NIST SP 800-53 and deliver clear, well-supported determinations and guidance.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in cybersecurity with five+ years in federal compliance, audits, or assessments.
• Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, SP 800-30, and FIPS.
• Ability to evaluate evidence from screenshots, logs, and policy docs to verify controls.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate corrective action plans and POA&Ms for open/closed status.
• Review system security plans against NIST controls and document status.
• Prepare written responses to technical inquiries and conduct follow-up calls.
• Develop automated review tools (Excel VBA macros) to improve efficiency.
• Manage the submission review queue and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain records in the customer case management system.
