Job summary

Network Runners, Inc. is seeking a Government Communications Team Lead to manage strategic messaging for internal government audiences and external publics. This remote role supports DHS and federal partners, producing news, features, briefs, and newsletters while coordinating events and collateral.

You will oversee research, drafting, and proofreading activities, collaborate with government staff, and ensure 508-compliant, accessible content across channels. A Public Trust clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of government communications, planning, and supervision.
• BA/BS required; MA/MS preferred.
• AP Stylebook experience.
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance.
• Able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Federal government experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team to deliver professional communication products meeting mission requirements.
• Plan, research, implement, and evaluate acquisition-related communication guidance.
• Provide writing, editing, proofreading, and design support for communications.
• Write and edit weekly news articles or monthly features for publications.
• Oversee screening of media coverage and prepare daily email summaries.
• Develop content for newsletters and events with government staff.
• Plan and maintain an editorial calendar for publications, blogs, and newsletters.
• Assist with speeches, briefings, and talking points as needed.
• Support creation of media outreach materials and fact sheets for audiences.
