Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.
• Experience supporting complex billing, accounting, or revenue-related functions.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications.
• Demonstrated analytical and reconciliation skills within ERP/accounting systems (Deltek Costpoint experience preferred).
• Demonstrated understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
• Proven ability to independently research and resolve financial discrepancies across cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem Solving abilities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and/or weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Utilize multiple reports to ensure the accuracy of billing transactions.
• Assist with invoice preparation and reconciliation of billing to A/R; Monitor outstanding A/R balances and take appropriate action.
• Provide input to policies, systems, and procedures for effective control of billing.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
• Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
• Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position.
• Assist with or lead the month-end/quarter-end close process for assigned businesses or groups.
