Job summary

CS&L CPAs PA is seeking an experienced External Auditor with a Governmental & Nonprofit focus for a 100% remote role based in Florida. You will lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and work directly with government and nonprofit clients to ensure high‑quality, compliant financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in public accounting, GASB experience, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with GASB standards and governmental/nonprofit audits preferred.
• CPA license (or progress toward licensure) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day audit engagements as in-charge auditor.
• Design and perform audit procedures.
• Prepare financial statements and audit documentation.
• Apply CS&L's audit methodology and GAAP/GAAS knowledge.
• Mentor audit staff and communicate matters to managers and principals.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure efficient information flow.
