Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking a Governmental Accounting/Auditing Consultant to join its Not-For-Profit Practice Group. This role can be based in any office or sit remotely, with travel to client sites up to 40%.

You will participate in client engagements from start to finish, provide services under supervision, and help lead change efforts, while staying current on GASB and Uniform Guidance standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of governmental accounting, GL reconciliations, and audits per GASB and Uniform Guidance.
• Strong written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client engagements from start to finish.
• Assist with consulting services under supervision of managers and principals.
• Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and lead change efforts.
• Consult with clients to recommend business and process improvements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to plan, develop, and implement project activities.
• Follow data collection, fact-finding, and data analysis practices.
• Support project management tasks and review deliverables for quality assurance.
• Participate in business development and client service opportunities for the governmental accounting group.
• Perform planning, testing and documentation per GAAS, GASB and Uniform Guidance.
• Conduct audits in accordance with established audit programs.
