Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Governance Engineer II for a remote-friendly role. You will implement governance-as-code to secure API access, data use, and AI agent interactions across enterprise systems, collaborating with security, data, and architecture teams.

Responsibilities include defining standards, enabling automated guardrails, and promoting scalable governance through reusable components and templates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering, API development, or a related field.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting REST APIs and OpenAPI specs.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with governance and automated checks.
• Knowledge of API security concepts including OAuth, auth, and least-privilege access.
• Familiar with governance tools such as Postman, SwaggerHub, API catalogs or developer portals.

Responsibilities

• Define API governance standards and translate policies into reusable patterns.
• Develop governance-as-code, guardrails, and automation for API/AI access.
• Onboard APIs to catalogs, portals, and governance platforms; monitor compliance.
• Integrate governance controls into CI/CD and development workflows; enable self-service templates.
