Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Governance Engineer II - Remote to translate enterprise policies into practical, automated governance solutions. You will build guardrails for API access, data use, and AI agent interactions while collaborating across security, data, and development teams.

The role emphasizes automation, lifecycle management, and self-service governance to enable rapid yet responsible innovation in API and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, or related field.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting REST APIs and integrations (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Knowledge of API security concepts: OAuth, authentication, authorization, least-privilege access.
• Familiarity with governance-as-code, agentic AI concepts, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Turn enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into automated governance solutions.
• Develop governance-as-code, reusable standards, and automated guardrails for APIs and AI agents.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, data, and development teams to enforce policy without slowing innovation.
• Support lifecycle management, monitoring, and self-service governance capabilities.
