Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Director of Global Security to lead worldwide security strategy and operations. This remote role reports to the Senior Director of Global EHS and partners with EHS, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in security and 10+ years of leadership, with a Bachelor's in a related field and preferably advanced certifications. Travel up to 60% is required; domestic and international assignments are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Business, Emergency Management, or related field.
• 20+ years of relevant functional experience in security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or corporate risk/security.
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-level security programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize global security risks as part of enterprise risk & threat management including security plans in support of employment actions and facility decisions.
• Establish security policies, standards, and operating models across all regions and help define and execute a global security strategy aligned to business priorities.
• Standardize site security risk assessments and mitigation plans, ensure effective facility asset protection and oversee physical security systems including access control, surveillance, guard force programs.
• Support crisis management, incident response, business continuity, and executive incident escalation in response to major events such as workplace violence, natural disasters, and geopolitical disruptions.
• Define and provide executive protection strategies and travel security program elements aligned with Danaher protocols including: travel risk assessments, high-risk region protocols and real-time traveler tracking and support.
• Execute within a cross-functional environment in close partnership with EHS, Legal, HR, IT and Operations.
