Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a Senior Resource and Innovation Manager to strategically coordinate the firm's global Research & Information vendor portfolio. The role partners with Finance, IT, and Practice Groups to align investments with firm priorities and maximize ROI.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading high-value enterprise contract negotiations.
• Experience managing complex vendor portfolios and relationships.
• Strong knowledge of procurement methodologies, sourcing strategies, and contract lifecycles management.
• Experience identifying and delivering measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and operational efficiencies.
• Experience managing complex budgets and budget lifecycles.
• Knowledge of legal technology, research platforms, AI-enabled information services, and evolving information marketplace trends including vendor knowledge for US, UK, Germany, and France.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communications to respective audiences and to interact with all levels of law firm personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong collaborator with proven record of working in matrixed environment.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a global R&I vendor management strategy aligned with firm priorities and practice group goals.
• Lead strategic sourcing and renewal initiatives across legal, business, and knowledge-management vendors.
• Serve as primary commercial and technical contact for R&I vendors and technology partners.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors to influence roadmaps and ensure service delivery.
• Oversee vendor consolidation, standardization, and enterprise licensing to maximize value and reduce complexity.
• Provide budget oversight and regular leadership reporting on spend and usage.
• Collaborate with cross-border colleagues on jurisdiction-specific vendor contracts.
• Communicate AI capabilities and resource changes to ensure ROI and adoption.
